Wilshire Boulevard Temple – Phase 1A

Los Angeles, California

The Wilshire Boulevard Temple, originally constructed in 1929, includes the Sanctuary, Piness Auditorium, Stalford Hall, and a historic classroom building. The original structures of the campus are on the National Register of Historic Places. The project site is located on a 4 acre mid-Wilshire block, known as Magnin Square.

Phase 1A included renovation of the Sanctuary, construction of a new central plant, life safety improvements to the auditorium, ballroom, and administration spaces, and upgrading the existing surface parking lot, east courtyard, and Davidson Patio. Phase 1A is part of a Master Plan that, when completed, will provide space for on-site program uses that includes nursery, elementary, and religious schools, Temple administration, special event space, and a 450 car parking structure.
